COVID-19 and the Status of Taproot Theatre
Updated 11/10/2020

In March, Taproot halted all live performances, shifted performance dates for most of the shows in our 2020 mainstage season and made the difficult decision to cancel the production of The Old Man and The Old Moon.

As the pandemic continued we suspended the remaining shows from the 2020 season awaiting the ability to reopen when the county reaches Phase 4 of the reopening plan issued by the State.  Our 2020 Season remains suspended until we are allowed to reopen.

Once we are able to safely and legally resume performances we are still planning (and excited!) to share Babette’s FeastSee How They Run and The Spitfire Grill with you. Anyone who currently has tickets to one of these performances will receive new performance dates once we have a new performance schedule.

Taproot’s administrative offices are currently closed and staff has been significantly reduced but there are still staff members working remotely and part-time to serve you. Unfortunately, response times may be longer than usual.

We do not yet have a target opening date for our Mainstage theatre.

All Acting Studio camps are now virtual, online classes.

Caring for Staff and Artists:
It is important that we care for Taproot staff and artists with the same intention that we care for Taproot patrons. While this closure is right for the health of our community, it creates a profound financial hardship.

We need your help. Please consider a financial contribution to help sustain Taproot Theatre Company through this uncertain time.
