In March 2020, Taproot halted all live performances, shifted performance dates for most of the shows in our 2020 mainstage season and made the difficult decision to cancel the production of The Old Man and The Old Moon. 

As the pandemic continued, we suspended the remaining shows from the 2020 season awaiting the ability to reopen.

What does this mean for you? We are still planning to produce Babette’s Feast, See How They Run and The Spitfire Grill. Tickets for those shows will remain on your account until we have confirmed new performance dates.  

If you still have tickets from the cancelled 2020 performance of The Old Man and the Old Moon, we are encouraging patrons to donate those back to the theatre if they are able and we will send you a tax receipt.

We are so grateful for your loyalty, the kind words and the donations many of you have sent. We continue to ask for your grace and your patience. As you can imagine, closing has created a profound financial hardship.
