Story of an Off-Brand Band

Presented by Acts On Stage

July 31, 2021 at 1pm

One performance only in Taproot’s Isaac Studio Theatre

Taproot is pleased to welcome Acts On Stage (AOS) to the Isaac. AOS is a brand new theater that launched during the pandemic, and they are focused on centering the works and talents of People of Color and Creatives of Faith. As many of us experienced the unrest and awakening of 2020, Acts On Stage wrote this play as an act of activism. It also serves as a workshop that helps audiences reflect and discuss often polarizing subjects like racism, justice, and identity. Taproot is excited to welcome this new theatre to the artistic landscape and to experience this meaningful expression as we engage our own work in this journey.

The American Dream radiates from the fantastic idea that everyone belongs, everyone matters and EVERYONE gets a chance to be great!

Go on tour with the Preamble – a band living the dream! They are making great music and selling out shows but something is throwing the harmony off and everyone knows it! The show must go on but how?
