Taproot Theatre Company’s student matinee program enhances student education, providing theatre as a tool and springboard for learning, growth and communication.

Brooklyn Boy by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies - April 6
Charley's Aunt by Brandon Thomas - May 18

All Student Matinees take place at 10 a.m. at Taproot Theatre. (Our Christmas production will take place at North Seattle Community College)
Tickets
$10 per student
1 complimentary adult ticket issued for every 12 students

Tickets to a student matinee performance include:
- Study guides
- Post-play discussion with actors & director
All student performances begin at 10:00 a.m. and are held at Taproot Theatre.
A tour of the theatre after the performance is available for an additional $100 per class.
Financial assistance is available through the Erica Enns Scholarship Fund to schools for whom the cost of a performance may be a hardship.

Taproot's Student Matinee Program partially fulfills the following EALRs:
- Arts: 1.1, 1.2, 1.4; 2.1, 2.3; 4.1, 4.2, 4.4
- Communication: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3
- Social Studies: History: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3
