For 33 years, Taproot has existed as a “theater of hope”. Our response to the Greenwood fire aims to reflect that legacy as well as our ongoing commitment to our community and our mission.
Many have asked, “How can we help?” We ask in return, “How can you help?” Perhaps it goes without saying; your cash gift allows us the greatest opportunity to meet immediate needs in a hurry. Those needs are unknown at this time, however we have a number of expenses coming at us in the coming weeks and months including production and payroll costs, and we are certain that there are un-identified expenses around the corner. If you'd like to make a gift over the phone, please call Anne 206.529.3672. To donate online click the PayPal button
Thanks to our friends at Theatre Puget Sound for initiating at 20/40 campaign – a nod to the theater’s address, 204 N 85th street in Greenwood – asking for $20.40 from the arts community. If you are able to contribute $20.40 or $204 or more, please You can also give more generally to the Greenwood community by donating directly to the “Greenwood Fire Relief Fund” at J.P. Morgan Chase on the corner of Greenwood and 85th Ave.
Your gift of labor or resources is also welcome. Maybe you’re really good at cleaning or talking on the phone or you have exceptional office skills. Maybe you know of someone that could meet a specific need if only they knew how. Over the coming days and weeks, we will become more aware of our specific needs but your expertise and ideas are sure to come in handy. If you are able to donate your time, energy or skills please fill out this form and we will be in touch.
Most of all, your thoughts, prayers, encouragement and support mean a great deal and have already bolstered the TTC staff as well as the broader arts community. Thank you. And we’ll see you at the show…
