COVID-19 and the Status of Taproot Theatre

Our 2020 mainstage season remains suspended until we are able to reopen under the new Healthy Washington plan. 

Once we can safely and legally resume performances we are still planning (and excited!) to share Babette’s Feast, See How They Run and The Spitfire Grill with you.  Anyone who currently has tickets to one of these performances will receive new performance dates once we have a new performance schedule. 

Taproot’s administrative offices are currently closed and staff has been significantly reduced but there are still staff members working remotely, part-time to serve you. Unfortunately, response times may be longer than usual. 

We do not yet have a target opening date for our Mainstage theatre.

All Acting Studio camps are now virtual, online classes.

• Acting Studio families can find the most current class information on the Acting Studio webpage.

Road Company:

• Taproot’s School Touring program is has transitioned to a virtual assembly option for the 2020-2021 school year.  Check our School Touring webpage for details.

Caring for Staff and Artists:
It is important that we care for Taproot staff and artists with the same intention that we care for Taproot patrons. While this closure is right for the health of our community, it creates a profound financial hardship.
